01 / Walk, discuss and check readiness

Use with the people doing the work: walk the area, discuss the prompts, record actual controls and verify them before exposure. Rebrief when conditions change. If a safeguard is missing or uncertain, pause affected work and contact the responsible person.

Equipment and work scope

Identify the exact machine, line or process and the task boundary. Confirm the work request and production contact.

Energy-control interface

Identify the approved equipment-specific energy-control procedure and authorized personnel when needed. This kit does not provide isolation or verification steps.

Guarding and access

What guards, access restrictions and protective devices are relevant? Refer defects or changes to the responsible person; do not bypass protection to complete the task.

Materials and environment

Review material movement, chemicals, hot surfaces, pressure, noise and other actual exposures. Confirm applicable assessments, handling methods and task controls.

Production-maintenance handover

Who controls equipment status during the work? Agree how workers and affected operators are informed of restrictions and changes.

Return-to-service review

Identify the authorized restoration process, required checks and receiving person. Record unresolved issues before handover; a completed worksheet is not restart permission.

02 / Record the task and verify controls

03 / Hold, rebrief and hand over

Pause for unexpected energy, missing protection, equipment status uncertainty or a change outside the approved work scope.

Follow employer correction and authorized restart arrangements. Keep affected work on hold while readiness is unresolved.
