Hazard Communication regulatory crosswalk

HC-001. Online knowledge course resource v1.0.0. October 20, 2026.

View course outline ·

This crosswalk continues the 33 requirement and design rows from the October 17 HazCom planning workbook. It identifies the online knowledge content and the employer or release work still open. It does not replace the original workbook or assert completed technical validation.

Pilot scope: chemical-user instruction for manufacturing workers, initially NAICS 3261. Manufacturer/importer classification, supplier SDS authoring, laboratory-specific programs, emergency-response qualification and separate substance-specific training require their own review.

Source use

The current standard is the federal legal baseline. Interpretation letters explain OSHA’s position in their context. The 2015 OSHA 2254 compilation identified the course family but was not used as the sole current requirements source. Employer-specific applicability and State Plan review remain open.

Prior project sources: OSHA_Compliance_Training_Development_Record_v1.0.0.docx and Hazard_Communication_Regulatory_Crosswalk_v1.0.0.xlsx, both dated October 17, 2026.

Supplier-label and SDS examples in this course are deliberately fictional teaching extracts. They must never be used as labels or safety data for actual chemicals. Standardized pictograms are reproduced from OSHA public-domain files without alteration.

SCORM 1.2 runtime behavior was implemented and tested with an API test double. Actual target-LMS conformance, import, resume, gradebook settings and record export still require testing.
