Save Jenkins Safety to your device — installation guide
Add the gold SMS icon to your Home Screen. Jenkins Safety is a web app you install from your browser.
iPhone or iPad — Safari
- While connected to the internet, open this Jenkins Safety page in Safari. If you opened it inside another app, copy the link and open it in Safari.
- Tap Share (the square with an upward arrow). On some layouts, open the page menu first, then Share.
- Choose Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, scroll to Edit Actions and add that option.
- Keep the name Jenkins Safety. Turn on Open as Web App if that switch appears, then tap Add.
- Return to your Home Screen and tap the gold SMS icon.
Android phone or tablet — Chrome
- While connected to the internet, open this Jenkins Safety page in Chrome. Use Chrome directly rather than a browser inside another app.
- Tap the three-dot menu beside the address bar.
- Choose Install and create shortcut → Install. Depending on your Chrome version, this may be labeled Install app or Add to Home screen → Install.
- Confirm the name Jenkins Safety and follow the phone’s installation prompts.
- Open Jenkins Safety using its gold SMS icon on your Home Screen or in your app list.
Set it up before going offline
- Open the installed app from its gold SMS icon while you still have Wi-Fi or mobile data. It may need its own sign-in and setup, even if you already used the browser page.
- Sign in, confirm your SMS organization, check the trusted-device box, then choose Enable field capture below. If needed, create your organization in the online SMS first.
- Wait for the offline app files ready message below before heading out.
Offline setup has not been confirmed yet.
Save offline, send when connected
Review each completed entry and choose Save to phone & queue to send. Your outbox shows what is waiting. When a connection returns, open or reopen Jenkins Safety and keep it open until the waiting count reaches zero. You can also tap Send waiting entries.
The app does not reliably send while closed. Send waiting entries or use Export device backup before clearing browser data, removing the app, or changing phones. This first release captures text; meeting audio recording and automatic transcript review are still in development.

Inspections check conditions and controls. Audits compare a sample of evidence with defined requirements. Observations explore how work actually happens.
Work going well: learn what helped, which controls worked, and what should be preserved. Work not going well: learn what got in the way, how people adjusted, and what needs attention. Ask workers about the conditions; keep observed facts separate from assumptions.

Clearing browser data or losing the device can remove unsent entries. Export a backup if you cannot connect. Device storage can fill up; a failed save stays in the form.
