Confirm your role, route and help contact
Learning objective: Know what you may do, where you may go and who can help.

Start with your actual assignment
Finance and insurance work includes bank and credit-union branches, lending, investment services, insurance offices and claims visits. Work may take place at a desk, service counter, home office or another person’s property. Choose the closest setting below. These five paths are examples, not every job in Sector 52.
Access is not permission for every task
Ask who is supervising you, who covers when that person is away, and which tasks and areas are permitted. A badge, key or customer invitation does not qualify you for equipment work, a security duty or entry into a damaged property. A visitor or field assignment needs the host’s local plan as well as your employer’s instructions.
Know what this overview provides
This course introduces common workplace hazards in finance and insurance. It does not replace required employer, host-site or task-specific training. It does not qualify you for security duties, emergency response, first aid, electrical work, equipment operation, roof access or entry into damaged buildings. It grants no professional license or work or entry permission. The employer must confirm the instructions, skills, qualifications and permission for your actual assignment.
Required initial and periodic training on your institution’s security procedures, including conduct during and after a robbery, remains separate from this orientation.
Explain the plan back
Have the lead show the permitted route, local hazards and help contact. Explain what you will do and when you will pause for help. Ask for another explanation or demonstration if needed. A busy lobby, service target or urgent claim does not replace instruction. Do not write access codes, confidential security procedures or customer details on the course worksheet.
