Editorial policy and review status
Jenkins Industry Safety Journal is a publication of Jenkins Research Institute. Todd Jerome Jenkins, MS, CSP is the author of the current collection.
What the journal publishes
Practical guides explain a process, explainers introduce a subject, and perspectives develop an interpretation or argument. Case analyses examine a reported practice account or a documented public investigation. Literature-informed and applied analyses develop an argument with its sources and limits stated. These labels describe the article’s purpose. They do not indicate that an article reports original research.
Review status
The current collection is not peer reviewed. An author’s credentials, links to primary sources and editorial formatting are not substitutes for independent technical review. An update date does not indicate that an article has completed a new technical or independent review.
Sources and examples
Articles link to relevant primary materials, including public agency guidance and standards. Readers should check the full source, its scope and current applicability. Background references do not establish that an agency endorses the author’s interpretation.
Fictional learning examples are labeled. They illustrate a reasoning process and are not represented as observed workplace events, research findings or evidence of a control’s effectiveness. A practical recommendation must be assessed against the actual work and applicable requirements.
The October 26, 2026 update used AI assistance for structure, summaries and the explicitly fictional investigation example. It did not add an independent technical review.
Dates and citations
Where the original publication date is not documented, the record says “Original date not recorded” and the suggested citation uses “n.d.” We do not substitute an import, build or formatting date for an original publication date. An update date includes a description of the changes; it is not a claim of technical recertification.
Articles record the original manuscript date where stated. If the manuscript is undated, a source-file creation date is explicitly labeled as a file record. Incident dates, original manuscript records, revision dates and first journal publication dates remain distinct. Articles use their actual journal publication year in the suggested citation.
Commercial relationships
Related books written by the author are commercial publications. Their relationship to an article is disclosed in the article footer. Practical downloads remain separately accessible, and a book purchase is not required to read the journal.
Corrections and questions
Submit a correction or question with the article title or URL, the passage at issue and a supporting source where available. Accepted substantive corrections should identify the change in the article’s update record. A submission does not imply that a formal review has already taken place.
